Alyson Thompson was born in Baltimore, Maryland where her passion and appreciation for design emerged. She ambitiously began her formal design education at Maryland Institute College of Art at the age of 16. This experience inspired her to continue evolving her design practices at Parsons School of Design, where she graduated with her BFA in Product Design. Quickly after, she went on to pursue an entrepreneurial career collaborating with experienced designers, thinkers, and fabricators.

Her work and powerful approach exemplify the modern designer - one who thrives in the CAD world while honoring the traditional roots of craftsmanship. Alyson can now be found spending most of her time at the jewelry bench creating contemporary wearables as vehicles of expression, whether that is to stimulate environmental discussion, revive ancient techniques, or expose new philosophies.
